In the previous episode (episode 7), Raven and Stephie discussed the challenges of ‘the comparison trap,’ which one can get unknownly up caught in, in the aftermath of a challenging or heart-breaking life setback. The events of 2020 and beyond qualify!
In this episode, we continue the discussion by offering 3 rituals or actions that can help you put the past to rest so that you may life more fully in present time.
They were excerpted from Business From Bed, a book written to help business owners and professionals get back up on their feet again after a health crisis. Although the book is geared towards this audience, it offers a blueprint for recovery from any significant life-altering setback.

Create a collage to represent your feelings and lifestyle before and after 2020.
Write out or tell your comparison story, go full on out. Leave no emotion or feeling out. Share it with someone who can witness you (not cheer nor judge you), record it for yourself and listen to it. Read it outloud. Whichever you do, you want to witness it yourself
Then shred or burn. Wish it well, and put it in the ground.
Dissolve the energetic epicenter. Locate the energy of your comparison story in your body. Notice where it is and lean into it, and be with it.
Ask it questions if you’d like. (What does it have to say to you?)
What color is it, what size is it?
When you’re able to tune in this way, and be with whatever comes up, you’ll find that it shape-shifts, moves and/or dissolves.
